DECATUR, GA — Kids Video Connection, with support from the DeKalb Entertainment Commission, will host a workshop on Feb. 16, “Intro to Media Literacy & Video Production” at the Gresham Public Library (2418 Gresham Road).

DECATUR, GA — Kids Video Connection, with support from the DeKalb Entertainment Commission, will host a workshop on Jan. 12, “Intro to Media Literacy & Video Production” at the Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library in Tucker.
The event is open to children ages 13 – 17 and will introduce participants to media literacy concepts and instruct them on script writing and video production. In this workshop, students will produce a Public Service Announcement to promote reading and the DeKalb County Public Library.
On Dec. 1 at Lakeside High School, the DeKalb Entertainment Commission will offer its final series of educational classes for 2018 for Atlantans interested in building their careers in the film and television industries. Classes will include: Intro to the Film Business, Getting Started in the Industry, and Resumes for Film and Television.
Whether you are a novice or professional at pitching film/tv projects, this workshop will help participants elevate their success in connecting with industry professionals who can help advance careers.

DECATUR, GA — The DeKalb Entertainment Commission will host its second Entertainment Expo on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at ROAM Innovative Workplace at Perimeter Center, 1151 Hammond Drive Northeast, #240, Atlanta 30346. The event features resources and information for DeKalb companies, professionals and residents seeking to build a presence in the entertainment industry.

Shelbia talked about DeKalb’s efforts to create opportunities for local residents and businesses to be a part of our region’s booming entertainment industry. She talked about all the resources offered, including classes and workshops in film, television, music and digital entertainment.
Sonja talked about all that the City of Tucker is offering to its residents and film productions.
