Kids Video Connection, with support from the DeKalb Entertainment Commission, will host a six-week series of workshops from Jan. 26 – March 2, 2019 at the Decatur Recreation Center. Students will be introduced to media literacy and video production through project-based learning. They will learn the basic process of creating a video as they work on individual video projects.
Under the supervision of a professional producer, students will write and produce their own autobiography project. Class sessions will include lectures, interviews and hands-on learning activities, including how to operate a video camera.
- Dates: Saturdays, Jan. 26 – March 2, 2019
- Morning Sessions: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (ages 7 – 12)
- Afternoon Sessions: 1 – 4 p.m. (ages 13 – 17)

Support from the DeKalb Entertainment Commission and Emory University’s Film & Media Studies Department has provided scholarships for all students, offering the reduced $175 cost.
