2nd Annual Student Film Festival – DeKalb County School District

DeKalb Entertainment Commission has partnered for the second year with the DeKalb County School District to hold its second annual DeKalb Student Film Festival. The event will allow local students to showcase their film productions, competing in two difficulty levels. Students can win an award for “Best Screenplay,” “Audience Choice,” “Best Actor,” “Best Sound,” “Best Director,” “Best Editing” for their difficulty level, and there will be one “Overall Winner.”
Fifteen high schools within the DCSD will submit work from their school’s AV and Film programs. The event is free of charge, and the public is encouraged to come and support local youth. The event takes place at the AMC North DeKalb 16 Theater on Wednesday, February 19th. The festival will be held from 6 to 8 in the evening.
The following high schools are participating in the event: Arabia Mountain, Cedar Grove, Chamblee, Columbia, DeKalb High School of Technology South, DeKalb School of the Arts, Dunwoody, Lakeside, Miller Grove, MLK, McNair, Southwest DeKalb Stephenson, Towers, and Tucker.
