Over the last ten years, DeKalb Entertainment Commission has become a pivotal entity within the Georgia entertainment industry. From our well-established leading film permitting program for our county to our strategic partnerships that support initiatives within digital entertainment, film, and music., we’re excited about the continued growth of the entertainment economic power within our state.
With this growth, we are proud to announce our partnership with Sound Diplomacy to establish a 5 Year Entertainment Strategic Plan. Sound Diplomacy is the leading global consultancy advising cities, governments, tourism boards, and large organizations on music and nighttime economy policy. Their work has helped define the music cities movement and delivered initiatives in over 20 countries and 50 cities worldwide.
With their help, we will establish a Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Strategic Plan that will identify growth areas, produce actionable strategies and implementation plans that will deliver measurable economic and social benefits.
What is the process to a new plan?

All findings and plans will be presented in a report that will serve as the blueprint and Five-Year Strategy and Implementation Plan for DEC
