Distillery of Modern Art
The Distillery of Modern Art is a 15,000-square-foot former warehouse masterfully transformed into a multi-functional venue that functions as a “living installation.” Clad in a modern copper corrugated screen, the building’s exterior shifts its appearance from day to night, offering a sleek, contemporary facade for external shots.
The Still Room: Features a 30-foot gleaming copper pot still housed within a glass-enclosed “heart” that protrudes through the roof, flooding the space with natural light.
Rothko Room (Event Space): A 2,800-square-foot expansive area inspired by the color-field mastery of Mark Rothko, designed for large-scale production or refined gatherings.
Watson Gallery: An 861-square-foot dedicated art gallery with a Mondrian-inspired grid layout, featuring a “secret” hidden door leading to the snaking production and bottling lines.
Kandinsky Tasting Room: A 735-square-foot lounge characterized by vibrant, abstract geometry and a wrap-around bar that overlooks a floor-to-ceiling installation of rainbow-hued spirit bottles.
Notable features:
- Art gallery, wrap around bar, liquor stills, covered patio
